robots are dead i pilot daemon

I Pilot Daemon.Strange name, stranger band.
And when i say strange i don't mean bad, i mean good, really good.First of all i'd like to say that we're now talking about a great cd and one of the best i have heard during this period.
I Pilot Daemon come from France and like to experiment a lot with their sound. In a really short time they have shared the stage with bands like Daughters, Made Out of Babies, These Arms Are Snakes and a lot more.

The first thing that caught my attention was the name of the record and the artwork. The record is called "Happily Depressed" and this is exactly what it is about.Everything about this record can be described after these words. From the ironic happy couple in the cover, to the strange lyrics to the dark and angered music.

Strange time changes, groovy bass lines, amazing guitar work influenced by the masters of the genre, Botch, Breather Resist and amazing aesthetics. Also, they lead powerful melodies from Isis, Will Haven or mighty rockers Deftones giving their amazing debut a more mature and bitter feeling.Heavy musicianship, soaring melodies, anticipation for the right moment and a pure sense of ear seduction.
All theses are views that capture I Pilot Daemon's heavy musical personality and honesty.Heartfelt melodies from a screamo crew experimenting several sounds.Everything comes natural in these songs, it sounds so human and so simple, yet discordant in it's shaping and playing ability.

The cd has all the elegance and charm to take you to another place and make you dream, fear, scare, to make you depress in a way that you feel happy, you feel alive.Amazing how music can make you feel.
